Wikileaks, a site where whistleblowers can post documents, was shut down by a California judge. Now we join China and Thailand as the only three countries who ban this site. This is another attempt to protect the privacy of the government, by the people.. for the people?. Forget the conscience. Bush even threatens a veto of the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act (sort of). It would protect National Security workers, Contractors, and Scientists, three recently politicized jobs, if they leak illegal information. Bush won't have to do that, of course, because a hold has been put on this bill since June..

Its horrible that this is no longer available, I never knew it existed either. Luckily, GOOGLE CACHES SITES THEY SEARCH! Search for wikileaks in google and click on Cached just below the description. It'll open the version of the homepage from a few months ago or so. The links won't work, but you can use them to refine wikileaks +"BLAH" google searches and find some of the stuff. Images are lost, however. Glory be to Google. We should save all of the shit on that site. I'm going to start
A link to most of the things found on that site, cached!
Holy shit, this is crazy. Another thing that you might want are the PDF files, of course, which are now unavailable as Google doesn't index those I don't believe. However, you can search for the file names that come up in the bottom bar of your browser and find some things. gitmo-sop.pdf is one I'm checking out. Ah I'm excited but I'll shut up now
Someone made this easier on anyone who wants the archive
That criptome.org site is pretty ballin. I was playin on that last night. It seems to just be some guys who plays guess and receive with the Freedom of Information Act.
He seems to think that wikileaks was set up by the CIA.
That's really sad Bush is overtly against transparency. It's a good way to keep people ignorant I suppose.
